Daily tasks will include:
- Production support of existing applications
- Analysis, design, coding and unit/integration testing
- Create and update program specification and detail design documentation
- Application performance tuning
- Mentor junior programmers
Software Architect
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 84 months of IBM Mainframe COBOL programming experience
- 84 months of experience developing tax processing systems in a federal, state or municipal agency
- 84 months of IBM DB2 for z/OS experience
- 84 months of JCL experience
- 48 months of IBM MQ Series experience
- 48 months of experience writing technical design specification documents
- 60 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM environment development using IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) and Websphere Application Server (WAS)
